Hogarth, that is what I like about British / adjectival grading system compared to the American / numeral system. It leaves some room to discuss and also reflects what each adjective means for each grader. Looking at the OP's coin, I can see the Trident, fingers of Britannia and the ship seems slightby in better detail than London Coins' Fine graded coin. But that is just me thinking and I am nothing close to an expert in British coins, I just collect them. To me OP's coin, conditionwise, is just a tad better than London Coins graded penny. (gF or aVF compaed to F).But that is just my opinion.
