I did better on this ebay purchase, not bad for $2.52 shipped. Quiz time...is it a large or small S?

Small S, Looks VG-10 to me. Lots of wear on the hair and lines on the wheat stalks.

This is a LDS, notice the lack of sharpness, especially the obverse motto and the date. All of the letters are broad and flat. There is clear separation between the cheek and jaw.

On the reverse the LDS is also evident, note all the letters and the wheat stalks loss of sharpness not entirely due to wear. It's hard to tell from the picture, but about 60% of the wheatlines still show. I believe them to have exhibited wear prematurely due to the LDS.

The rims are very nice and there's zero problems. The surfaces are completely natural and have never exhibted corrosion (no spots).

This is a case where you have to decide if it's fair to include the die wear as part of the grade? Or is grading mostly about wear?

I gave this coin a VF-20, it would have been an easy VF-25/30 if it was an EDS coin. It's the small S MM, good job peeps!
