MisterT Pillar of the Community United States 2006 Posts	Posted 04/15/2021 02:39 am Posting this mainly for anyone who doesn't know what a "whizzed" coin looks like. This one came from a mail order company and was advertised as premium quality BU. Naturally there wasn't a picture of the actual coin, just a stock artists rendering in their catalog. I took a chance and got bit for $45. In a way it is a shame because the details of the coin look fairly bold but the whizzing and off color just ruined it. Live and learn. My first impression when I got it was looks pretty but off color and then when I rocked it under the light there was no cartwheel luster at all. Perhaps the coin is both whizzed and plated. For plating to bond to the coin I assume it would have had to been buffed first. Am I wrong about this? Report this Post to the Staff
