Both coins seemed to be impacted by the same issue, I just dont know what thatr issue is. The one has an extra piece to the top of it.

I agree totally but what about the top side of the picture of the ;last coin

It took a hit there than squeezed the metal out. There's just no way that could happen at the mint.

Both are just well damaged coins.
There is no way to explain how that could happen during the striking of the coins

@rig, I suspect that the diameter of both coins will be slightly higher than mint spec as it looks like they both have been flattened somewhat. The little ear on the rim could have come from a similar, but more concentrated hit.
