So I've heard slot about the "I GOD WE RUST COIN" but nothing yet on " IN OD WE RUST". Anyone found any like this?

Most likely the product of a partially grease-filled die.

Another possibility, is that the picture has been Photoshopped.

It is a neat find, I have seen a few like that, but never had one myself.. I think its a nice find..

I like seeing greasers on newer coins like this because the rest of the details are still on the strong side. Most of the coins I spent time with are a bit older, so there's less* contrast on my greasers.

Well with the lower profile of the devices, it takes less grease to fill these devices now.

Grease filled or not, they still sell on ebay for $5-$10 and nothing to necessarily sneeze at in my opinion. As long as it's a 2005P Kansas you should be good, someone out there will want it and pay for the novelty of it.


other dates and mintmarks with filled letters don't do so well, that one has a following.

this reminds me of the local used car dealership ad that forgot to account for the various aspect ratios of television screens, so in big letters says
