Weird to see this slabbed and with no mention of it being a token/fantasy directly

Not immediately knowing what X#301a means, I thought at first this was done to an actual quarter from reading the label. Turns out they were just private minted pieces for fun

That's pretty wild and honestly, I think ugly. Can you imagine a future civilization finding this and thinking earthlings were such strange looking creatures.

I found someone selling these on ebay for $225.00 each. They say they are in the original packaging with 14 sold and 3 still available.

The #X number is from Krause's "unusual world coins" catalogue. All items in this catalogue are fantasy/ unofficial issues. This catalogue states that it was issued by "Square Deal productions" and designed by Andor Orand.

It is as legitimate or not as any other privately issued item.

I have many such fantasy items which I regard as entertaining but I do not attach great value to them. This looks like an item that I would get, but not for $200 that is for sure.
