Please crop, rotate and enlarge the obverse image. No immediate reason to doubt authenticity.

Looks polished to me and the obverse is showing no dings or scuffs....I go by the saying, if it looks too good to be true...it's probably a fake. However we would need better pix outside of the holder.....

to CCF...glad you found us...

Hard to tell. Those pictures are not that sharp when you blow them up. Assuming nothing else if its real then probably AU. There is some rubbing on the obverse. Looks like a decent coin but the pictures arent great.

I'm voting fake.

Why do YOU think it is fake?

I would like to see better photos, weight and magnet test before making a judgement on authenticity. On a common date doing a counterfeit Morgan in 90% silver is less likely as it cuts into the counterfeiter's profit.

No automatic quote function.

To quote, you have to use the "full reply" and not the "quick reply", then you can use the button in the "Format" row.

OR

You can type quote and /quote (each in square brackets) surrounding the text you want quoted.

My immediate take on this coin is that the lettering is "soft". That is, the edges of the lettering are not squared off, but instead rounded. Of course, this is based on the images provided.

Interesting. I could agree but unfortunately the sharpness in the image itself is lacking so this would be hard to verify. I find most of the pictures online aren't nearly detailed enough for my liking.

Not sure how you can assume a coin is fake because of "soft lettering" with these pics. It's blurry and the lighting isn't the best.

With what I see thus far, it just looks like an UNC common date Morgan dollar with blurry pics. Better pics are necessary.
