As mentioned it could have been hammer on something solid, or squeezed in a vise. We see so many damaged coins. People trying the create in the garage mint errors. If the dinged in areas were present before striking, the reeding would not be present because the edge would not reach the collar that produces the reeding. Report this Post to the Staff
