Well. I sold a gold piece yesterday to cover my expenses for a vacation in 2 weeks, well, the funds from that very quickly went to this instead lol. With this I finished my set of Barber coins. All coins in this set are CAC approved with the Dime being MS-66+CAC, the quarter matching the dime in its grade at MS-66+CAC as well, and the half being MS-64-CAC. Feels good to finish off this set. I was originally targeting 64-66, but I'm certainly not gonna complain at 66+, especially with a CAC sticker. I paid $1700 for this piece.

Congratulations Grape on putting together a VERY SPECIAL Barber Type Set.
While having each of the three coins merit the CAC stickers may have cost a bit more, I believe the reality is much of the slight extra cost can be attributed just to the coins having nicer eye appeal! Another bonus is when the time comes for you (or your heirs) to sell these lovely gems, they'll be easier to sell at fair value having the CAC stickers, as the potential buyers will be assured the surfaces have not been messed with!
Enjoy your beautiful set! Congratulations!!!!
Steve

Quote: Who needs a vacation with a coin like that..... Ya know, that's a good point. Unfortunately, I've already paid for everything. Quote: Congratulations Grape on putting together a VERY SPECIAL Barber Type Set. Thanks Steven! It's a great set, and was a tough one to put together. Just in case someone hasn't seen the others, I've added the pics of the dime and half below.

Quote: needs to be cracked and dipped in eZest for 10-20 minutes. I 100% Disagree . This looks good just the way it is , would not even give it a 3 second dip let alone destroying it with a 10-20 minute soak !

Holy moly. And to think, when I was your age, I didn't know Barber coinage was supposed to have rims.
