Hoping to get some direction on this, I was told it should be graded. Appreciate your input

@gret, it is always best to accompany your pics with a written description of what you are seeing as a mint error with the coin in hand. Do you mean the area of discoloration on the reverse or something else?

We need to see close ups, please. Don't hold your coins, lay them flat and photograph them from above. What are your specific questions/concerns about this half? We are terrible guessers.

I can post more pics tomorrow. I was told it was a strike though and I should get it graded. I am not a collector so I don't know the details.

Hard to tell from the pix, but I'm seeing gunk — for lack of a better word — on the reverse. A soak in pure acetone would tell you whether it's gunk or part of the coin's design. From your standpoint, you can tell what's going on better than we can.

Please show larger pics, right-side up and straight-on, of both sides of the coin.

Who told you it was a strike through and should be graded? Looks like something "on" the coin like gunk that left a stain. Try a soak in 100% pure acetone, not standard nail polish remover.
