What would you grade this as? Yes it has been cleaned and thoughts on fair price would be appreciated.

"painful" is a good way to put it.

UNC Details Such a shame. Could still fetch a grand though.

Very harshly cleaned EF 45 Details. An example of a very undesirable Key date coin .

Thanks all, the picture shows it in its worst light. Straight on you can see some of the cleaning lines, but not nearly as bad as the pics I took.
It was purchased as part of a large lot of Canadian Silver coins (1935+), There was a full set of Dollars, sadly most of them had some pretty rough cleaning, but a few nice ones kicking around. Not sure what the all in price on this one is, still working through the lot but it looks like did ok based on your thoughts on grading. It will fill a big hole until I decide to make the plunge for a nice MS one (which is probably a long way off).
I'm not sure I will ever understand the practice of scrubbing your coins and leaving nasty lines in them to make them look closer to a silver coin. To each their own, there would have been some coins in the lot if they had just let them be.

Lighting almost always exaggerates scratches. I will say that it is a key date though and well worth having until you get a better one.

There are two currently being auctioned on Heritage, UNC Cleaned and AU Cleaned. Yours maybe more harshly cleaned, hard to say. Both are currently $930 US with BP and 4 days left. You could watch them and see what a fair price might be.

MS-60 Details (harshly cleaned).
If it were to be offered to me, I would certainly consider to buy it at a reduced price, probably for more than the way the market sees it.
