I like a coin that shows that it served the country well.  My guess is that it's an S-268 if that's a blunt 1 rather than pointed 1 in the date. Maybe someone can verify.

VG detail, I'd say. Akin to counterstamped coppers, it ain't pretty. It's a cheap hole-filler with not much downside on the purchase price.

It IS the 268, the scarcest of the three 1805 varieties. (Which at R-3 isn't saying a lot.) Couldn't be sure about the 1 so I looked at the hair. The highest part of the hair wave below the E is below the right side of the upright. On 269 which shares this reverse die it is below the center of the E. (267 has this same obv, but the reverse die has the gap between the end of the wreath below the E in United.)
