Hi Guys,

Long time forum reader, first time forum poster.

I found the below coin while noodling and am hoping today is the day I finally hit the jackpot

What do you guys think!? Is this a legitimate error? Is it valuable!?

I am not an Aussie coin collector, but a quick ebay search showed one sold in about this condition for 1.99 and 6.00 shipping.

Looking at ebay sold items is a good way to find current prices being paid on any coin.

I can't quite tell - might be a lamination error?
What does the other side of the coin look like?

Looks like there might be a remnant of tape or glue stuck to it.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

I hope it's not glue! Really thought I was onto something.

Please see photos of the obverse of coin:

Could be a lamination flaw on the back too - hard to say. Is it sunken into the surface?

Hmmm also agree possible lamination flaw (the wiggly lines) but cause wear and picture quality not great can't be sure.

However did find a bottom lip Cud on the 50c Victorian coin the other day. Not sure if that's common I know that it ain't collected much.
