1923 Peace dollars are fairly common as far as silver dollars go, this one has some wear and looks like it has seen better days, it's been polished up to make it appear more brilliant, not something us coin collectors really like at all. This dollar would have the value of silver melt as it's almost an ounce and 90% silver, that makes it worth $20.15 today with silver at $26.05 per ounce.

There are some interesting varieties from 1923 but I don't see any on this example.

Here is a neat list of all the top 50 Peace dollar varieties with photos to help identify them:

Peace dollars are one of the most beautiful coin designs ever made in the United States per many people. See the CCF page on them for more individual information: https://www.coincommunity.com/us_dollars/peace.asp

As to a grade? EF45 Details due to the polishing.

Westcoin said it all.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who think if a coin is polished to look shiny then its more valuable. A lot of collectable coins are reduced to melt value this way.
