This was just posted on another site by one of ICG's graders. "New ICG has seen two counterfeit 2020-W Proof V75 Silver Eagles. Details to be published next week in Numismatic News, Coin World, and at the ICG Internet site. Please spread the word on other forums you visit."

Saw one posted on another forum with an OP asking if it was legit. I guess I am used to seeing fakes b/c it looks fake right off the bat to me. Even in the linked article, look at the face of Liberty - not even close.

this is another problem that comes about with specialty coins like the V75 ASE: counterfeits. you had to know this was coming eventually. I would expect 2019-S ERP fakes to surface eventually, as well. buyer beware.

I was commenting that coincollector123 found the link after having previously asked if there was a link.

That pretty scary. I'm glad I got mine directly from the mint.

edit: I had posted asking where counterfeits such as these come from, albeit as flawed as they are, and after posting I found some good sources to answer my question. Yes, I'm a newbe!
