Just a typical copper coated zinc cent that is beginning to deteriorate. The zinc is beginning to corrode under and through the copper coating.

Agree with all above--coin shows wear (hits and dings), environmental staining (+toning), and zinc issues.

It's called zinc rot and worth one cent.
Get rid of it because it will just get worse.
