The reverse of this coin and the Cud in the wheat first caught my eye but then I started looking at VV and CC and I thought this might be a DDO? Especially given the RTY characteristics? I'm not sure if it's the shortened T that makes this or ? What say ye?

Not a Cud,it is a die chip. Click on Glossary on the left side of page.

I agree with @john1's assessment that this is a die chip--that is a pretty common location for these to form on wheat cents.

Agree--it's a die chip. Cuds are directly associated with the rim. Does look like the emergence of a retained die break from the wheat stalk to the rim--note the hint of die cracks. Good candidate for saving in a 2x2.

Can't tell for sure, but doesn't it look like a die crack by the chip? Could that eventually turn into a Cud? Still learning here.

Abe is talking a little bath but when he's done I'll try to post a close up because I do agree that from the chip there does appear to be a slight crack put to the rim.
When originally posted I mentioned a DDO but I'm not hearing anything back on that. Thoughts?

I don't see a DDO but let's see what he looks like after his bath. Get a close up shot of RTY and how does his eye look?

After a bath Lincoln doesn't appear to have a fracture at the 9 o'clock position next to the chip, but now not sure at the 7 position, relative to the coin. Not sure on the LIBERTY or eye. Best pics I can get, sorry. I know they are rotate but that 7 o'clock mark only shows at certain angles.
And thanks for the patience.

There you go!

Any particular brand of acetone? That does look nice. I just found a few of these. Fun to keep.
