Freshly back from PCGS, how do you grade it? The PCGS photo is a bit strangely coloured the coin is more white than the image.

Is that a brockage? My first gut instinct is 64..with possible split bands but the bands are not shown well enough to know. I'm more than willing to accept a higher grade, but I learned a long time ago to just go with my gut.

Not sure if that's a planchet issue or a strike issue happening at the rim, but shouldn't hold it back grade wise, may keep it out of high MS, which I wouldn't consider this.

Reverse may keep it out of GEM, but it may squeeze by. MS64/65

MS-64, but
I am unsure about the dark mark under 'UNUM'.
Struck slightly off center.

A TPGrader would be at much more of an advantage for an accurate grade than us, with this coin. Because of this, may go up to 65, or down to 63.

Nevertheless, I still like to reply to the challenge of "You vs. PCGS" - it is a good learning tool for us all.

? Can you have "Split Bands" but not "Fully Split Bands"?

I am especially bad with this series in high grades. I am eager to see what you reveal eventually.

I'm gping with MS64 mainly due to the collar issues when struck and the fairly obvious dig at the center band area. did I mention how much I despise trueview?

No FSB
Rest in Peace

Superb coin no FSB ; But I like and try to buy coins with NO problems . I don't know if the rim issues are the results of before striking or poor striking ,either way I would purchase this coin for my collection .

Thanks for all the replies so far! I've added a photo I have taken of the coin as well, the true views aren't my favorite. I'll also add that the coin is in a straight grade holder.

The grade from PCGS was.....MS62.

The coin was in an older PCGS slab MS63 and I thought it was under-graded and had it as most people have said, MS64. So I played the crack-out game and somehow it went down to MS62!
