What do you think? Used lighting that captured as much as the purple as I could without losing the other toning variations. &

@xtu, first welcome to CCF. Second, to be able to give you an idea of grade (and perhaps thoughts on natural vs. artificial toning) it is always better to take pics with the coin not yet in a 2x2. Thx.

Already graded Unfortunately, that's all the pics I have on my phone. Although my wife has some on her PC she took with the scope, so may post those later this evening. We purchased it from an elderly couple's estate sale in Kentucky then we sent it off. We took it to 3 local dealers I purchase from regularly before we sent it in.

Think it went details? If not, can anyone guess the grade RD/BN/RB?

My first thought on the coin was artificial toning only because I could not identify how the coin toned.

The extensive mottling on the reverse does not look natural for an uncirculated coin, at least to me.
Rest in Peace

Not a coin that appeals to me whatever the grade, but I'm hanging around for the outcome.
