@lin, I'm not 100% sure what you are talking about, but I think that this coin has some sort of heavy surface discoloration.

I can see plenty of damage and discoloration. Please try using some arrows to point out what you are seeing.

I believe he is seeing the memorial Bldg from the reverse of a LMC but that's what it is not. Looks like a cup holder coin to me. Environmental tarnish and staining in my humble opinion.

Does any one else see the toothed section making it appear as though there's a piece of tape attached?

Where is intersects the rim, is normal. It looks more like a sticker/tape on area of the coin for years. The exposed edges look like it is lower, but just exposed longer than the other areas. But the images are like pieces of a Jig Saw Puzzle.

The photos I posted didn't come out as well as I had planned an I apologize for that but the image on Jefferson's face in photo #2 where you can see a straight line going north and south has a lip thick enough that I can fill it with my fingers. I thought at first it was trash that had come in contact with coin but after looking at it with USB microscope I realized its part of the coin. That line on the face is the same copper nickel as the rest of the coin, its almost as if something else was pressed onto the coin. In photos #3,#5,#7,#10,and #12 some of the lines on his face have light grooves in them

Looks like residue. Try soaking it in Acetone for a few days.

PLEASE cut back on the number of fuzzy images and show us the whole coin in one photo, then another of the reverse. We cannot even tell what we are looking at. We'll be able to help you once we can see the whole coin. Thanks.

Just some foreign substance on the coin. As stated previously a soak in acetone would remove it, but you would use more than a nickel's worth of acetone.
