Hello--what do you all think about this dime? Is it a strong type coin for the Capped Bust dime (Small size)?

AU58 or MS61 possibly details. the toning is camouflaging some of the surface scratches. I'm leaning MS

61/62 My guess is it straight graded as market acceptable. The negatives are an old cleaning, and a light scratch in the bust area. The coin has nice eye appeal, but I would not call it a strong type coin because of the problems.

Looks about MS62/3. Can't really get a feel for the surfaces.

I'm leaning toward AU-58 with a hint of wear on the obverse, but a 62 or 63 wouldn't surprise me. I think the toning is attractive and it would be a great type coin.

I would say AU58. I also agree with the others saying it could grade MS. It looks like a great coin for a type set.

I'll say AU-55 due to obverse scrapes. Pretty coin but too much chatter.

As others have said, toning may be hiding some light circulation rub there. I'm in the AU58-MS62 boat.. but a swing either way, AU55-63 wouldn't surprise me. Overall a nice well struck example

I'll say AU-55 with details. Looks like a prior cleaning.

MS61 for me, I don't see any rub or wear on the high points, even with the darker toning. I think they will err on the low side and go MS61 over a MS62 or 63 grade as prices really start to climb with every grade point on these older coins. I don't see MS60 that seems to be left for uncirculated coins that have been over dipped or too white for their age.
Is it a strong coin for the type? Perhaps, it's crusty old and original IMO. I'd like a better eye appeal coin myself in a collection. But as a low end unc. coin it's nicer than a lot of other over dipped or cleaned ones.
I think these are just under $1K today MS62 and up get over $1K quickly, you could get a really nice eye appeal AU55/58 and save a bunch.
