Not knowing the value of the scooter--a pristine 1955 Piaggio Vespa; or other--you may have have struck a good deal.

Yes the coin albums have coins in them also the tube does also. Unfortunately there are no 1909 vbds in the album's. Haven't looked in the sack yet. There is one 1922 D in one of the albums but it isn't the one everyone is after... and the scooter was a goped.

Great trade! I would have reconsidered if it was a motorcycle but I am not the scooter type of guy.

Wow oldfordman do you really think this collection is a fair straight up trade? Amazing I had no idea that it could be worth so much... I guess I got pretty lucky... thanks for the input.

So mostly penny collections. good luck to you. Unless you find something special in there, I'm seeing $150-maybe up to $200 depending on how full the albums are.
Good or bad trade would depend on condition and value of the Goped I think and if anything in that surprises you.

Yes I do think it was a good trade if the scooter was not mint. Piaggio is not usually valuable due to the low amount of people who collect them.
