Help. What do you make of this coin? It weighs 2.7 grams and it is magnetic #129522;. It came out of my roomates coin jar. I haven't been able to find any info about it.

Welcome to the forum. Your coin has been plated, most likely with nickel. This has been done after it left the mint, so it is just considered altered, or damaged.

We see these quite often on the Forum.
As noted, it has been plated. Usually for a souvenir or sometimes a high school experiment.

Place a magnet over a 1943 steel cent. you will see that it is slightly magnet. The steel cent will leap towards the magnet. On your coin the attraction is slight.
