I'm going with AU58 slider. Have you figured out the VAM number?

I'll say MS-63. Not particularly a fan.

I'll say MS-63. Not particularly a fan. I have owned the coin about 4 years and I was amazed on how much it went up in value. Not a bad coin for grade with strong luster and mirror fields.

Quote: No, I have not. Do you have any idea from photos? The photos aren't quite clear enough to see many of the markers. One starting point would be clear high-resolution closeups of TRUST and of the date.

@Slider23, @dave700x Looks like stage 2, partly broken "R" in TRUST? Here's the shopping list based on the stage of the broken "R." If I'm right on the "R" stage, that would narrow it to some of the most common VAMS for the date (9, 35, 39, 42), and one rather scarce VAM duo (77 and 77A). I can't take it any further based on the current pics, but it may get the hunt on the right road. EDIT: @dave700x got on the road first!

I think AU-58. The eagles breast and the hair details make me think that.

These have really increased in value, especially their Mint State ones, which may be a clue you gave as to the grade, I think MS62 I see luster of a MS64 but too many marks and and other little ticks, hits, scuffs to go any higher than a MS63 I don't know if they would give out a MS63 with the cheek so marked. Might be a good time to sell this one, I think you might be able to buy it back in a year or two for a lot less or an even better one for less as well.
