 to the CCF! We really need full images of both sides. I can't tell if this is Post Mint Damage or if something has blocked part of the strike. I'd like to see how the flattened areas on the coin line up before I comment with any certainty.

@luv, I don't know how this intermittent pattern of squished/missing rim could have been done during the minting process. My vote is for it being damage.

Definitely damage. No way that could happen during the striking of the coin.

Good photos. No worries, you were asked for photos and you provided them. I'm thinking post strike damage of a mechanical nature.

It looks like it was squashed between a waffle patterned something-or-other in a vice. Notice the center portion (the 'v' shaped indentation) then the others on either side, they all seem to mirror each other.

Also the reed maybe damaged as well. Just depends on how the coin alter process damaged the coin.
