What is your question? Did you check PCGS web site to see if the slab is correct, not a fake? John1

Neither the slab nor the coin look authentic to me.

Quote: still don't understand why they would have place a very high grade on something like this. If by "they" you mean PCGS, they didn't. Fake coin, in a fake slab.

There are many counterfeit gold American Eagles out there but this has to be one of the worst I have seen. Not even close.

Agree, does not look legit. Wondering where/how this item acquired--coin shop, online seller, from a guy on a motorbike, other?

Wow, very poorly done fake. Rather than list what is incorrect let's just list what is correct.. "insert crickets chirping here"

I'm confused as to why a counterfeiter would go through the trouble of putting a coin that obviously fake in a fake slab?

Yep. The holographic label says the slab was tampered with, and so the "coin" would be a slow boat knock-off.

If you have already bought it, the seller has defrauded you.

Quote: I'm confused as to why a counterfeiter would go through the trouble of putting a coin that obviously fake in a fake slab? Many people assume that if it is in a TPG holder, then it is authentic and graded accurately. They spend too much time looking at the label than the coin itself. I am not sure how many people could get fooled by this coin, but I am guessing at least one person was. Although the coin is a bad fake, but what caught my eye first was the incorrect font on the label.

The reverse in particular looks crudely designed.

As noted the coin is a fake and a fake slab. The barcode does not match the Cert number. The barcode comes up 0071886311. I agree with Frog that the reverse is crudely designed.
