Hey all,

This 2019p Jefferson nickel has a nice size interior die break/goug on its reverse. It is located on the left side, right against the monument. It also has a small die chip on the obverse in the field between Jeffersons head and IGWT. I looked on the, Cud-on-coins, site but didn't see a 2019 listed. There are a few, within a couple years of 2019, with the same exact error. When looking at the monuments doorway I noticed a die crack that travels through the the doorway from the window to the left. Also he half moon window above the doorway has, what appears to me, doubling on the left side of it. I looked to see if there was a match on vista varieties DDO/R site but there is no match listed. I'm still very green with identifying DDO/R coins. I do see die cracks running through both of the mentioned areas on the reverse. I was hoping the community could help me either identify, confirm or explain what I'm seeing in thoughs areas of
the monticello monument.

Thanks,
Coindom76

@coin, what I see in this coin is a very nice "wasp's nest" die chip on the far left of the building Monticello. At least with these pics, the rest looks like light circulation damage.

This is from a die chip. A small edge piece has broken off the die leaving a void. When the void is fill with the next coin, the void will be a raised area on the coins. As the chip ages, it can continue to break off and the void gets larger and the chips will become larger on the coins.
