Hello all!
I have a 1941 Wheat penny that I got from the bank which has a very odd color. More brassy than copper. I did some research on this forum and found that the dominican Republic had some coins minted in the US in that year which had a different planchet. In the photo uploaded I placed the coin by a traditional copper colored penny for comparison. Any ideas or possible value or appropriateness for professional grading. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

You can't always go by the colour. Copper coins can change many different colours depending on the
environment they have been exposed to. In this case it looks like it has been cleaned with something.
Probably worth a couple of cents.

Agree with JimmyD. I have thousands and thousands of wheat cents, strict color uniformity is not a common characteristic.

Typical for a circulated coin of this era, worth a couple of cents melt value.

@major, a good way to confirm is by weighing the coin. If it is at least close to mint specs, then it wasn't something like an off-metal strike.

Probably cleaned at one time and turned pink. Now slowly turning back to the copper color. Slight damaged circulated Wheat cent. Nothing of special interest. Add it to you Wheat cent pile:
