I know this is nothing special but to me it is strange that I was able to find this quarter in the wild in such decent condition. I know it's not perfect but it's not bad either.
Does anyone else find it as interesting as I do that it's not in bad shape for being so old?

Nice find!

Looks like someone had that tucked away for a while.

A lot of people saved them and then when they find out they are not special they spend them. That's why they are found in nice condition.

I agree. I've got rolls upon rolls of these, and really have no clue why. This is the reason you still can find Mint State (uncirculated) bicentennial coins in change today.

Agree with the above. Do look closely at LIBERTY when you come across all D mint bicentennial quarters. There is a rather rare DDO--best seen in LIBERTY--which can bring in some $$.

Seems to me that when I was coin roll hunting half dollars a couple years ago, I used to see a lot of the Kennedy half bicentennial coins also, and of course they were in very good shape also.

You can always sell them on ebay, rolls of them regularly go for at least $15 plus shipping.

Man these were SOOOOoooo special when they debuted in 1975. I remember even my peers in high school who never cared about coins were showing them off when they found them. Every one was hoarding them. You could almost feel an excitement about them in the air b/c a special design was an unheard of thing.

Even the halves and Ikes were exciting to people. Everyone had to have one. Good memories of a better time (in many ways...no one was on call 24/7 due to cell phones LOL!).

I spent my accumulation of at least a dozen rolls of these a couple years back. Maybe it was one of mine!
