Looks like the planchet split and or reeding in there. A large split in the shield and other errors. I just don't know if it was a defective planchet? Thanks In advance

@val, the damage along the obv rim is a bit unusual, but is still damage. Looks like the zinc core is now exposed in multiple areas. This one would be a spender for me.

Yes, exposed zinc core and associated zinc rot--all post-strike.

When the plating is split, then the oxygen starts working on the zinc under the plating and it is all down hill from then on. The rot is taking place. Not a keeper as the countdown has be begun for this coin.
