merclover Bedrock of the Community United States 10635 Posts	Posted 10/25/2021 7:52 pm I see Machine Doubling on the obverse, as well as on the reverse (notice the shelf-like appearance of the doubling). Not a DDO or DDR, but you do have a slightly MIsAligned Die. to the CCF! Report this Post to the Staff

Second, while it is unusual for someone to post a coin thinking that they have one type of error/variety but then they actually have a different one, I think that is exactly what you have done. The MAD that @merc mentions is dramatic enough that a couple letters are starting to fall off the edge. I would save this coin in a 2x2 as it is a keeper! coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/26/2021 11:48 am It is a MAD coin not an off center. The appearance only showing on one side of the coin. So you have a MAD strike (Mis-Aligned-Die) Also the Machine Doubling is not a doubled die. Just a normal die with an MAD obverse die. This one is a keeper. It has the devices falling over the rim. The way to tell if is a collectable one is that the opposite side of the coin will show weakness opposite that area: Sometimes a MAD can occur where there is not devices to fall over the rim. But it will show the weakness on the opposite side of the coin. (sorry I don't have an image of one right now.) Here is an example of one: But I don't have an image of the reverse.
