Hi everybody,

I was checking some of my Jefferson nickel and noticed that some of the has No initials(FS), I just to know are these coins considered as error coins like Kennedy half dollar coin?
With best regards,

I believe up until 2004 FS appeared under Jefferson's bust on the obverse. Then in 2006 the FS initials appeared on the reverse to the right of the Monticello building. This might be your answer.

I do have a 1990 D that is missing FS on the obverse. It is probably the result a Grease Filled Die in that area.

Jefferson-Nickel-Initials,

This is a circulated example of a Jefferson nickel without the FS showing under the bust of Jefferson. It is completely missing, probably due to a filled die with compacted grease and nickel particles. I have not seen another and have not noticed another example of gradual disappearance.
I wonder just how many there are to be found?

I think we need to see a picture of the OP's coin to make any clear decisions as to what happened to it.
