Definitely won't get tired of you so please post away. With regard to this coin, it looks a bit more like a circulation scratch or struck through wire than a die crack in your pics. This linear feature looks to be inset (below the surface of the coin)—is that right?

That linear feature appears to pass into/through the rim. Is the feature raised (with no incuse trench)?

I don't know for certain, Spence, examining the area closely it looks like a die crack to me. Just my thoughts.

By increasing the size, you can see that it appears incuse. I would say that it is just a scratch.

Looks like a coin scratch. Note the trench in the center with two sides where the metal was moved from that area. Not a die crack as it would rise in the center without a trench.

Thx coop, I think I've got it. I watched a video today explaining the difference between a scratch and a die break. Daniel from coin help 4 u did it and a light bulb went off for me. It is incuse not obcuse which is where the light came on. Still trying to get the whole idea of dies and hubs and all that and how it all works. Thx for all the help everyone. I'll be back.
