While I did buy some slabbed error coins today, this one I just found in the back of an album. There were two state counterstamps, and this one, all unlabeled, just in there. The collector must have realized it was something, but not knowledgeable enough to know what something like this is worth and actually put it somewhere protected and safe. Anyway, it's an error I've always wanted to have an example of, and today was my day. No date Lincoln Memorial cent mint error - struck through cloth Edited by tropicalbats 11/07/2021 09:42 am

Very cool struck through, I'm not even sure how you managed to see the date on this one.

I'm changing the title to No Date. It was nearly 3am last night when I found this thing, and my eyes were, well, a little tired. The FG looked large enough for a 1973, but now with morning tired eyes I don't think so.
Thanks for the great comments! This is a fun error and I remember when John posted his a year or so ago. All of these struck through cloth coins just seem so cool looking.

Amazing error find! The impression of cloth in metal is so intriguing, like fossilized remains.
John1, your example is awesome too!
