So I was starting the application process and am a little confused. If I chose physical membership instead of virtual do I get the physical RCNA journals and have access to the virtual information?

Looks like this will have to wait a few days at least. I cannot set up a membership untill my PayPal account is finished setting up. I just linked my card but it says it will take 3-5 days to confirm my bank card or something so I cannot pay yet. I wish I could e transfer Paypal money or direct to the RCNA but it's PayPal only.

Luckily I figured out PayPal. I received my membership number already in a very welcoming message from Paul Johnson. I wasn't aware they send you a membership card as well. The newest journal is being shipped to me but I made my account after paying for my membership so I'll have to wait for an email saying the account is accepted and then I will be able to log in and check out the members areas. Excited to start digging into the archives. I imagine I have months of good reading material to catch up on.

Thanks everyone, I'll definitely look in to the courses, I could probably even use the coins 101 course lol.
I will be busy for a while with all of this information. I should have joined well before now. For now I will keep my self busy catching up on the past 71 years of articles.
If anyone has any articles they think I would be particularly interested in let me know, other wise I'll be going through them all starting at volume 1. It will be interesting to see how everything has evolved over time.

Are older editions of the CN Journal available online, or do they have to be ordered from the CN Library?

Hi, I am a board member of the RCNA. The Journal and the Bulletin back to 1950 are available online with membership. I donated my most recent book to the RCNA. In the preface, I explained why: "The RCNA promotes our hobby through educational efforts, such as the Canadian Numismatic Journal, correspondence courses, symposia, and occasional onsite classes. This worthy organization also holds a convention, Canada's national coin show, each summer. It consists of a large bourse, an auction, and many club meetings. The convention always provides a tremendous opportunity to experience comradery with dealers, numismatists, and collectors, whom you would otherwise hardly ever meet." If you have never been to an RCNA convention, I really recommend that you try one.

Appreciate the info bosox. A convention sounds great. The website I figured out and have been enjoying reading through old articles when I have free time. I'm vary glad I joined the RCNA.

My luck, I'll be in the middle of nowhere (Labrador), doing fieldwork and missing yet another RCNA...
