1986-D Lincoln Cent DDO

Looks to have plating issues and is primarily what I think you are seeing. Also deterioration and circulation wear.

Still plating issues but nice pics. This is not a doubled die.

There should be a change in size, it should be larger.

This particular plating disturbance messed with me for the longest time but there were very patient folks that helped me work through it. Just read up on what doubled dies are and should look like and also all of the other things, that aren't doubled dies that mess with us, like this particular anomaly. Sometimes it's good to take a break, even change gears. Do what you need to feel comfortable and be able to enjoy it, whatever you do, no point in doing it, if it's not good for you.

A good thing to do is always check with varietyvista.com or coppercoins.com to see if what you find matches up with anything there. If not, then its almost certain to be MD, plating a plating issue, Die Deterioration etc.
