For your grade and comments, this is not my coin.

I think it just makes XF40.
(Whatever it graded would be ok with me if I owned it!)

EF-40 sounds a bout right. Looks better at first glance.

XF-45, old cleaning but market acceptable.

Most Trade dollars are cleaned. Alas the TPGs are inconsistent -- sometimes they let it pass, sometimes they don't. XF details. Otherwise XF-45.

I'll guess EF40 straight grade.

Old cleaning. Assuming it straight graded, AU50

Obvious wear and friction on the high points. Liberty's breast and face look very worn but some of that is likely strike-related. Denticles are sharp with only slight wear. XF-45 for detail but surfaces look scrubbed. I'd say XF detail, cleaned but I could see a straight XF-40 TPG grade.

Clearly it's been improperly cleaned so I'd hope PCGS put it in a details holder. Sometimes they do downgrade pieces such as this 5 or even 10 points and assign a problem-free grade. It's XF+ Details/Cleaned in my opinion.

This example is currently up for bidding at Great Collection with current high bid of $390. The VF35 retails for $550. This could be the poster coin for cleaned and net graded. I found the grade and coin interesting, but I will not be placing a bid.
