Hello everyone new to the forum and glad to be here. Just informed my latest submission has shipped from NGC yesterday that includes 2021 Peace Ms69 Reverse Struck Thru Mint Error. I cannot find any such animal on ebay and am wondering if anyone else has found one? Not sure how to upload images yet. Any info appreciated.

I may have posted in the wrong place previously. New member and please be patient with my slow learning curve. Received yesterday notice that my latest NGC submission has shipped that includes a 2021 Peace with a struck thru reverse error. Has anyone else had a graded 2021 Peace strike thru?

@ajbelf, first welcome to CCF. Second, as best practice is to start a new thread for each new coin, I have stripped away your reply to @humblepie's thread and moved it over here. You are in good shape now. I'm interested to see what you've got there. If you have a pic to share, here is a link to the tutorial on uploading images: https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...g-images.asp

Tried to upload image from my phone with no success. Will try from PC when I have a moment after work. Had a hard time just trying to reply and am not convinced I did so correctly. Thanks for the welcomes to the forum!

So sorry. Can not break the code! Obviously easy for the initiated of which I am not. Struggling with a new computer and the image optimizer plus time constraints with the holidays. Will keep trying when I can get spare time. Looks to me like either a grease or fabric strike thru under magnification.

Frustrated and sorry that I cannot post pictures. My question at this point becomes how to place a value on this coin to sell since there seem to be no other graded coins similar? I would welcome any guidance from the forum. I can easily upload the pictures to ebay but am awaiting advice from those more informed than myself in this forum. Many thanks to all that have tried to educate me.

Look on ebay for sold items for your ASE.

Struck thru are interesting, some like to collect mint errors. But minor mint errors usually don't add much extra value. If the struck thru is small, not much extra there. If it is large say 10%+ of the coin field, there's more collectable value in my opinion. The 2021 Morgan and Peace are known to have some problems, scratches, struck thrus, etc. Quality control at the mint was less that stellar for these. Check out the topic here "2021 S Morgan Fresh From The Fullfillment Center" started by Chopped Triumphs. On page 4 there are pics of two graded 2021 Morgans with struck thru. Here's a 2021 Peace recently sold on ebay, a struck thru according to the seller. I don't think it's significant enough to add much extra value. For the best chance of increased value it would need to be graded and designated as a struck thru because what looks like a struck thru may actually be a deep scratch or ding after the coin was struck. Some collectors want perfect or near perfect coins and wouldn't want it.

If anyone wants to see the strike thru I have listed it on ebay on my page. Search seller jbel7937. Thanks to everyone for the advice!

@Ajbelf, I copied your ebay pics and uploaded them so CCF can see. It's not hard to post pics here. That's major struck thru damage. NGC gave it a high MS 69. I don't know much about NGC grading process. I assume if it was post mint damage they would have given it a lower grade. I suggest you post clear pics of the entire coin, both sides, in your ebay listing. Collectors prefer to see all of it.
