Here is a 1983D Dime that stood out from the others because of the darker color. It's thinner than a normal dime and has no reeding around the edge. Would this be an error?

My mother has been saving dimes from her change for many many years and she has turned them over to me. I'm in Dime heaven! What I've noticed is how good of condition the older dates are because of not being circulated. There just may be a hidden gem

IMHO,not an error. Early stage Dryer Coin? Slot machine coin?

Put it on top of another dime, if the diameter is slightly smaller, then it is
probably as John1 said, an early stage Dryer Coin.
In any case it is some sort of damage because a dime cannot be struck
In collar without the reeding .

That's awesome. This one however just looks very worn to me. Could have been from mechanical damage, such as a dime slot machine.
