Would any of you happen to know the providence of this coin?

It feels wrong for some reason.

Is that an S mint mark? Larger photos may help us better judge what issues might be present. What do you feel is questionable?

Looks like a normal, high grade 1933 half with an extremely sharp strike.

Sharp strike?
Perhaps not.
The high points of the design on Lob's right arm are not there, suggesting lower die pressure.

Struck from a fresh dies?
Most probably.
Design details on lower parts of the design are quite sharp.

Ungraded, the coin appears not to have any wear.

Other opinions on the above statements and probable explanations

If it sold for 10k$ then somebody wanted it real bad. It happens sometimes.

It is an exceptionally well-struck coin —— THAT is for sure!

There are a handful of MS67 1933-S walkers, which have sold as high as $66,000.

The texture on the high points sure has the look of a counterfeit.

This will be fun to follow. Would be great to have the coin in-hand for a better evaluation.
