Hi guys,

I have this 1985 P Roosevelt dime and would like to know what this is on with the upper right side of this dime? Is this a collar clash or MAD with a rim Cud?

Looks like a collar clash to me. I can't tell if it's a folded Rim Fin or a Cud though.

Collar clashes are quite common on these small coins. The alignment has to be super accurate and is hard to accomplish on dimes.

a collar clash it is: A collar die clash strike, rail road rim on reeded coins, is when the die partly strikes the top edge of the collar die. This indents that area of the die so when it strikes a coin it imparts what appears to be a double rim.

A partial collar strike is when the coin is not seated level in the coining chamber and the outside edge does not completely strike the edge.

So if OP put the side rim photo will be better and appreciate.

I do not see the appearance of doubled rim.

Don't know about a partial collar, I think the OPs diagnosis was close, I think it's a MAD with a. Collar clash, most likely a Rim Fin but haven't rules out Cud. The main focus of the OP seems to be the folded Rim Fin or Cud.

Looks like a rim Cud on that area. The gutter is starting to break off of the die gutter area, thus that area is not starting to show the start of a crumble away off the die on that area of the gutter:

Or a fill of grease on that affected area of the gutter:
