OMG. Hey Man do you consider this metallic disc coin? Do matter the year? Thanks make me laugh now before going to the bed. You give photo for only one side of this disc, but I suppose same moon surface negative has on the other.

Looks copper. So it maybe an acid dipped cent. How does it measure for diameter? That would be my guess.

A Professional forum? Possibly, but we are not paid anything here. I think of this forum as a conglomerate of like minded people with a passion for coins and Paper money. We come here to learn and to educate, and to have fun.
As for silviosi, he is hard to understand most times. I have come to think that English is not his first and main language. But he IS a great guy and does his best to help out here.

this is not a professional forum. You get exactly what you pay for it. As for silviosi, he is a great person who knows his stuff, and we stand behind him.

I may have said it incorrectly it may not be a professional forum but the contributors can act with civility. I am a Mechanical Engineer with 40+ years experience and I think I would know if I was looking at a metallic disc or a coin. The reeding on the edge kind of gives it away.

Since you stated it's the same size as a dime with a reeded edge, my first guess would be a clad dime attacked by an acid or other highly corrosive material, exposing a bit of the copper core. However, the weight you gave is higher than a clad dime (2.27g), so that's not likely the case.
The granular-appearing surface is puzzling.
You have the same partial photo uploaded twice in your original post. Please upload full photos of the obverse and reverse.
