Hi, I found a 1985 P cent with a strike through error on the reverse. I'm not sure what was struck through but look similar to what a staple would. Any well-seasoned advice on this would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

I'm not convinced it's a die crack. Please post a closer-in, large and sharp photo of the feature in question. Thanks.

If the bottom of the trench it flat, it maybe coin damage. Just need a clear view to be able to tell if it is raised or incuse. It looks more like it is incuse as it flows around the device. It is were a die crack it would be raised and flow over the top of the device.
