I was wondering if the mint mark looked suspicious? And also if it is a full step? I would appreciate any help. Thank you

For FS is need focus pic. Also try to take out the glare. Apparently nice coin, but the light on and the glare play.

@kkj, there appears to be a diagonal gouge across the middle of the steps. Unless I am mistaken, I think that this would disqualify this coin for a FS designation. I agree that a nice close-up pic would help greatly.

Agree with Spence. Eager to see a close-in image.

Note on the reverse of your coin, there is extreme die wear on the reverse? Between the Five Cents and the USA, there is extreme die wear on that area. Note that the mintmark falls right in that area as well. So a lot of die wear has happen on the die that struck you coin.

It's probably 5 full steps, but need better pics to be sure. Note that some graders disqualify FS due to hits on the steps. To me, FS is an indicator of strike quality, something subsequent hits cannot change.

Sorry Nick I have to disagree with you . Any hit to steps interrupting the first five horizontal steps would disqualify FS designation . Need to have at least 5 full steps with no breaks . OP's coin has a slanted vertical disruption through the middle of all steps .

I've given up on the FS. When you look at the graded examples, I disagree with all of them.

We are looking for close-ups of the MM, not enlarged pics of your original coin.
