jordan1em84 New Member United States 17 Posts	Posted 01/26/2022 04:59 am Hey guys can you check out this 1986 penny for me and let me know what you think I put arrows at where the area I think the doubling is happening and also the date I can see something underneath and the mint mark I see the doubling in the phrase "In God We Trust" by the "G" in GOD AND "T" an "U" Ion TRUST-- thank you. That is what you are pointing to on the one arrow near the rim at the top of the image. But there maybe light reflection appearing on the bases of the devices. Remember that reflections are not the same as hub doubling. If you rotate the coin a bit then you will see it is reflection or not? But on the DDO the devices will be enlarged: Look for the spread on the centers of the devices, not looking at the outside/inside edges of the devices. This will lead you astray. Hub doubling enlarges the devices on raised devices. On incuse devices, hub doubling reduces the size of the devices. Machine Doubling removes the contour of the devices, making them smaller on raised devices. Machine Doubling on incuse doubling enlarges the devices.
