Hi all,

Picked this up in change from the gas station today, I think I'm matching this correctly but am puzzled by the nose, lips, and chin that look more like MD or DDD to me. I'd appreciate your thoughts, thanks...

As John said, this is not a DDO, just Machine Doubling. MD is caused when the die bounces slightly after the strike, pinching the metal on the struck coin (as opposed to a doubled die, where the image is doubled on the die itself and is struck into the coin). No value above face, sadly.

All areas on the devices are affected by Machine Doubling. This is caused buy the machine, not on an affected doubled die on the die. Even Machine Doubling can be seen on doubled dies as well.

Machine Doubling unfortunately.

I would love to see another example of DDO-008/WDDO-011 though...
