Would this even fit into the weak D family. Would post different pics but don't know what the experts need to see. Coin looks much better in person or if I could take a picture.

These dies were way over polished, but they were not given more dies to fill the quote they needed to strike. So they made do with what they had. So matching the weak 'D's never happened. With 7 million of these struck, there probably were less than 10 different dies. The ones with the weak 'D', after the next polishing were probably one of the missing 'D's. Just a bad die event that happened that year, where they have to use what they had.

Denver was a great place back in the early 1920s.

It seems your L on liberty is not as close to the rim and My letters in trust are sharper. Your 22 numbers are is sharper than mine. I don't even know which 2 is considered the 2nd two

The coat tail on mine from 4 to 5 seems to fit the description of Die # 4 from the Lincoln Cent source. Still don't know if that's a weak d or someone tried to remove it many years ago. I am sure it's not worth putting in a slab?

Not all "weak D" 1922 cents became "no D" cents, thus yours may not match any of the "no D" die pairs.

The slushy date on the OP's coin is not found on any of the accepted Die Pairs for the 1922 plain.
