coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/20/2022 5:06 pm 1. A doubled die has the spread on the die. Machine Doubling is from the looseness of the machine. 2. A doubled die will have spread on the centers of the devices making them larger. Machine Doubling is a reduction/removal of the contour of the devices. 3. Machine Doubling can also alter doubled dies as well because it is a machine issue. It doesn't remove the doubled die, but alters it and most collectors will not choose the MD and DD both on a coin, as it is a distraction. Report this Post to the Staff
