@caleb, based on these pics, I'm seeing Machine Doubling on IGWT plus scattered contact marks and circulation flattening. Is there something specific that you are seeing with the coin in hand?

Another case of looking to hard a the outside edges of the devices. Note the reverse devices. Bottom of the coin on Quarter dollar, the push is upwards on those devices. On the USA, there is a push in the same direction but on the bottoms of the devices. All created from the same Machine Doubling on the full size of the coin. Obverse: The devices are normal sized, but they are all pushing towards the rim. All the quarters that year had the same issue, because of the swollen master hub that year. In 1983 they master hub was replaced and the devices sizes and locations were placed back to the normal places: Also note that the direction of the MD on the reverse will be obverse will be opposite. The coin rotation places the same Machine Doubling in the opposite direction.
