Picked a few coins up today and this was in the stash. Not a super strong clip but does show nicely and coin is in pretty nice shape.

These must be much scarcer than typical clips.

Note the weakness of the devices along the affected areas? That tell me that this coin was struck on as mentioned already an elliptical clip:

Another nice one. These go for a high premium in Washington's, not sure about Jefferson's.

Thanks for the kind words! I honestly don't know what this is worth as couldn't find any that have sold recently, but seller and I agreed on $40, both of us believing it was worth at least that much but probably not a huge deal more than that.
